Colon Schools FFI scheduled for this afternoon at 4:30 has been canceled due to forecasted weather. A reschedule date is pending.
Reminder: due to mid-winter break Colon students do not have school this Friday, February 11th, and Monday, February 14th.
Tonight's Scholar-Athlete and Elementary Honor Roll celebrations, at the home basketball games, will take place as planned. Arrival times for honorees are as follows; 6:15 elementary students, 6:30 middle school students, and 7:00 high school students. Honors will be awarded at the following times; elementary students at half-time of the girls' varsity game, middle school students between the two games, and high school students at half-time of the boys' varsity game.
Colon Schools will be closed tomorrow, Friday, February 4, 2022.
Colon Schools will be closed Wednesday and Thursday, February 2nd and 3rd. Staff members are not to report to work. As well, all athletic and extracurricular events and practices are canceled for Wednesday and Thursday, February 2nd and 3rd. Due to the intensity of this storm, emergency operation and response officers of the county are asking all individuals to stay off the roads until Thursday, February 3rd after 10:00 am.
Because Colon Schools has not used any further allowable forgiveness days due to weather or health, mid-winter break will be placed back in the calendar. Therefore, students WILL NOT have school on Friday, February 11th, and Monday, February 14th.
Colon elementary and secondary schools will return to school for face-to-face learning on Monday, January 24, 2022.
Both buildings will also begin NWEA testing on Monday. All students need to bring their Chromebook or iPad and headphones back to school on Monday for testing.
