Yesterday, Critchlow Alligator Sanctuary visited CES for March is Reading Month. Students had the opportunity to pet a tortoise, a bearded dragon, and an alligator!

Last night, our first meeting of the Colon High School "PTN" Parent Teacher Network went very well! The parents who joined were excited to begin forging deeper connections between CHS and the Colon Community and supporting our educators at CHS. We ask that any CHS parent interested in supporting the school and the work of the PTN attend the next meeting on Tuesday, April 18th at 5:30 in the Media Center.

Although some students will be invited, everyone is welcome to attend! Due to road conditions from the snow overnight, Colon Community Schools are closed today, March 10, 2023. We realize this is disappointing as parent teacher conferences were scheduled today. We will work to provide some options for families who would like to meet with teachers. Members of our new History Fair Club presented their fundraising idea to Mrs. Kowalski on Tuesday during their lunch. They worked very hard on their presentation! They are planning a Parent's Night Out and we will share more information in the coming weeks.

CHS: We will hold conferences for Colon High School using an Open House format on Friday, March 10th, which is a ½ Day of School. Conferences will run in this format from 12:30 - 3 PM and from 4-6 PM.
CES/LEO: We will hold conferences for elementary students on Friday, March 10th using an appointment system, teachers will reach out to families to schedule appointments and this will be based on need, data, and other factors.
