This a reminder to our families that our 2023-2024 Academic Calendar was approved in May. Please add these dates on your calendars. As noted in earlier communications, there are some differences this year, so please be sure to note early release and the elimination of many of our 1/2 days.
We already miss our students, and look forward to seeing them in August!

Please plan to vote for our Non-Homestead Operating Millage Renewal on Tuesday, August 8th. Colon Community Schools is asking voters to approve a renewal of our current non-homestead operating millage. This proposal will NOT impact the taxes on owner-occupied homes in our district. Yesterday our 2nd graders went to Binder Park Zoo. So much learning and so much fun! Mrs. Lindsey described it best: "Today was perfect in every way!!"
Spectators are welcome this Friday as our seniors make their trip around town led by the Colon Police and Colon Fire Department!
Mrs. Bowen's dad and Colon alumni, Mike Conklin, performed a magic show for Mrs. Bowen's Kindergarten class yesterday. They were all amazed by Amazing Mike!!
Colon Elementary Families, Please join us for Field Day. Grades 4 & 5 will be tomorrow, Wednesday, May 24th from 9-2:30 at Colon High School. Friday Grades K-3 will participate from 12:45-3:00 PM in their Field Day at Colon Elementary. Spectators are welcome! Bleachers are available at CHS. Bring a blanket or outside chair to watch at the elementary.

On May 19th your Chromebooks need to be turned in to the Media Center to Ms. Coni. If you are interested in purchasing your device (only ones with round chargers) they will be $20, payable that day and you can pick them up on May 26th when you are here for graduation practice. Ms. Coni will be factory resetting the devices before you pick them up.

For all 5th -11th-grade parents, free sports physicals will be done at Revolution Health in the Colon Office located on 121 Franklin Street on Saturday, May 13th from 8 am to 10 am. Physical forms are available in the office at CHS. You must have a completed physical form with you when you arrive to get the physical. Walk-ins only, no appointments. This is the only opportunity for a FREE physical.
