Penny Brockway is a wife of 25 years to husband Tim and they reside in Quincy,Michigan. They have three children; Elizabeth, a graduate of Grand Valley State University; Anna, a senior at Western Michigan University; and Zachary a freshman at Kellogg Community College. Tim is a teacher of math at Quincy High School.
Penny began her career in education as a high school English Language Arts teacher for Coldwater Community Schools. When her children were young she stayed home with them and worked part time for her church as a Christian Education Director and taught classes for Kellogg Community College. Upon returning to the field full time, Penny was granted the position of principal for Jennings Elementary School and then Quincy Middle School, totaling 9 years as a building administrator. For the past three years Penny has been working for Calhoun Intermediate School District with the last fifteen months dedicated to the work of the Blueprint for Systemic Reconfiguration. In this work she has teamed with four others to build and launch the Blueprint’s Leadership Academy for superintendents and principals across the state.
